I was a little concerned about stability of product. If you screw in two shelves, and support one shelf, it's pretty stable. They mount on the angle piece mounted to studs. It does work, and considering its just a closet, not too bad. I would be concerned if it was in a "rambunctious" child's room, but my wife and I are not having any issues. I was going to build entire closet myself but my wife said I was too slow and didn't want to help stain and finish. These are pressboard but have a nice melamine finish.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by RSB26 Well Worth the Money, But Beware...
I purchased a variety of kits/parts to complete a walk in closet in our master bedroom. Overall, the quality is very good, and the fundamental design is robust. The completed product certainly met all expectations for functionality. That said, there are two concerns that keep me from rating this higher. The first is relatively minor. There are no trim pieces to cover the exposed portions of the hanging rails. Other less expensive closet organizers include such pieces to help give the product a finished look. While this is not a show stopper, it was a bit of a disappointment. The second concern is much more significant. If you use the on-line design service to complete your design and place your order, your closet organizer project will arrive in many boxes with absolutely no instructions regarding how to assemble the overall design. You will get clear instructions to assemble each individual component, but not the entire organizer. Be sure to save and print out your overall design -- it is the only reference you will have. The fact that the design assumes you will share certain vertical panels between modules is not made clear, so assembly requires some careful thought. You can elect not to share panels between modules, but then you will need to order more vertical panels. None of this is emphasized during the design process, and it is not mentioned at all in the assembly instructions. So, while the finished product is quite good, getting to the point of having a finished product can be confusing/frustrating, and require that you order additional pieces if you elect not to share panels.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by Bill Inadequate length of rails provided.
Jeez! I spent over $1300 for big closet organizer, and I already realize (as I am planning out the specific installation procedures) that I need another $8 rail, even before I start actual installation. I hope this is all of the extra parts that I find out that I need. Not too happy. Hope it gets better!

I love the Martha Stewart closet system I purchased at Home Depot on-line. Its sturdy construction and wood-look finish (I chose wild cherry) make this system look like a much more expensive custom closet unit.
And I found it easy to assemble. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. As a sixty year old woman, I had no difficulty putting the pieces together using a standard phillips-head screwdriver. However, it did take two people to mount the unit on the wall once it was assembled.
Additionally, it was easy to customize the starter closet unit to meet my requirements because this closet system offered the two additional features I most wanted: shoe shelves and drawers.
Now that my closet has had such an amazing makeover, I can't wait to do the same for my husband's closet. :-)
