I bought these screens because I have 5 cats and I use them to give extra protection from them damaging window screens and or pushing the screens out of the window. They work great.

I purchased four of these screens for my new apartment (three in this size and one in a smaller size) and have been using them for several weeks. Although cheaply made, the screens do work and are a good bargain.
As other reviewers have mentioned, these screens are almost comically flimsy. The mesh began to detach from its frame in three out of four of the screens on the drive home. I was able to reattach them without difficulty, but the it was obvious that these screen could not bear rough handling.
However, I have taken care to treat the screens gently and have encountered no more problems with them. It's true that they need to be treated with kid gloves, but they do their job, adjusting smoothly to fit my windows and keeping bugs out. If you are on a budget than I recommend these window screens.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by lisalou3 For the cost, these screens are great--especially for old-style windows
Obviously, you're not buying an extremely sturdy product for under $10. That being said, these screens are perfect if you need a temporary way to let some cool breezes in. I live in an apartment building from 1919 with double-sashed windows. I don't know if they're original, but I know they are old. And since I live on the 6th floor, I couldn't have permanent screens put in without modifying the windows. I just popped these screens in under the bottom sash (and used a little insulation tape to fill in the cracks) and I've been enjoying some circulation. These are not a permanent solution, but they are great if you need something that you will only use for a few weeks or months out of the year. Very happy with my purchase, especially for the cost.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by easyfixer flimsy and poorly made
Cheap but poorly made. Two of the 4 frames had chipped off pieces and the screen on some were separated from the frame when they came I had to glue the corners so the frame would stay together. There were spaces between the two sides that would allow bugs to get in. Cheap but you get what you pay for, sometimes.

I live in a NYC apt that didn't come with screens on the windows. I saw these on the site and thought that I could "somehow" make them work. They couldn't have fit anymore perfect! Took literally a minuet to put them in and they make a massive difference keeping the windows open.
