Rated 1 out of 5Â by COMANCHE worst blades i have ever used
The cub cadet 42" non-timed blades for my 2010 LTX1040 lawn tractor are absolutely the worst blades i have ever used.. I mow approximately 1/2 acre of mixed common bermuda and st. augustine grass about once a week during our central Texas growing season. I have to replace the blades after every second mowing. The blades seem to be made of too soft a metal. They wear off the tips first and then the turned up portion on the back outer edge of the blades wears off. My son bought a new 42" John Deere lawn tractor last year at the same time I purchased my Cub Cadet (June 2010)..His lawn is slightly larger than mine and about the same composition of grasses and soils. He is only on his second set of blades and I am buying my eighth set. At forty plus dollars per set for either brand, John Deere seems to be the best buy by far. So far,I haven't found a will-fit blade that will work but will keep trying...

Rated 1 out of 5Â by Locomotive38 this product was pooly marked
The lable indicated the type mower I have but the super tiny mfg date(after 2010) was covered by packing tape. The blades didn't fit my mower. The six point star pattern looked right, but wasn't. I'll get my blades, at a substantial higher cost from another source. They fit perfictly. Other products I've perchesed at HD are quite satisfactory.

simple to change and works great, there was no shipping involved as it was a stock item which was very nice to find as it was a pick up and go
