I like this product much more than the Scotts products that my HD used to carry. Wagner's has agood seed mix without a lot of filler seed (e.g. large milo) that some mixes include in large quantity.

I usually mix my sunflower seeds with other seeds. One day I was low on my regular seeds and could not mix up a batch for two of my feeders. So I loaded them up with my remaining Sunflower seeds and WOW, the birds started singing loudly from all corners of my back yard and in no time I had birds of all breeds hitting those two feeders. Birds waited for their turn at the feeders by sitting on the fence, on all sides, sitting in the orange tree and in the lime tree. Orderly, they took their turn to get their share at the feeders. In between turns, they took a shower from the sprinkler on the opposite side of the feeding tree.

This product is excellent! Birds have joined Woody and really are enjoying the seeds. It's like a first class restaurant in my back yard. The squirrels stay below and eat the leftovers that fall. Who would have known leftovers could be soooo good!

Rated 2 out of 5Â by wildbirdman Wood Filler!
I have purchased several 20 lb. bags of black oil sunflower seeds because we have a wild bird garden with dozens of parakeets, parrots, blue jays, etc.
Previous reviewer, Bill, is absolutely correct in noting that each bag has plenty of wood filler. If it is not wood filler it is poor process for separation of black oil seeds from its source. I am tired of separating the wood pieces or sunflower non seed parts. 20 lbs is NOT 20 lbs of black oil sunflower seeds. I will try another product sold at a different store. Note: I generally purchase a 20 lb. bag every 3-4 weeks.
