Makes ice quickly
The ice cubes do not break apart from the sheet when they drop into the bin, so be sure and get a metal ice scoop.
Compared with my previous machine, this one does not insulate as well. If you shut the machine off, the ice is gone in a day or so. The previous machine would hold ice for several days.
The ice size feature does not work - but was not important to me.
Makes a lot of noise when running.

I purchased this ice maker to replace a Scotsman icemaker that I had for over 20 years. I must say that the Scotsman far surpassed the performance of the Bluestone. That said, this ice maker does create ice, but it is very loud and it is not able to make a full bucket of ice before it starts melting. Also, the cubes are very small so they melt easily. Finally, the unit doesn't come with a scoop and there is no place to store one, if you have a scoop. That was a nice feature that the Scotsman had.
If you have the money, buy something else.

I have just had the icemaker for 4 days and it has already froze up and stuck in making mode on me. I got it unfrozen, but I have 90 days to return and I will let it go a few more days to see. 961.00 for an icemaker is not a little amount for personal use.

You have to spend another 50-70 bux for a condenser pump or else it leaks everywhere. I bought 5 of these and have had different issues everyday since they were installed.

Ice does not break up and half the cube is clear and half is cloudy. Noisy. If you don'twant to spend $1500+ this machine is a good option for the $900 price.
