We had a white cast iron sink before our kitchen remodel which never had any issues. Decided to upgrade to this Kohler model because it looked great and we thought Kohler meant quality. The porcelain cracked and chipped within 3 months of installation. Kohler does have a lifetime warranty and they were nice enough and quick enough to offer me a replacement but I will have to pay someone to take out the old sink and replace it with a new one hence the 1 star rating. Very disappointing.

I purchased this sink this morning. Double checked at the store before leaving to make sure it did not have cracks, chips, etc. Home Depot was very helpful putting it into my car. After purchasing the drains, ($50.00 each), plumbing kit, some foam insulation for sound I ended up spending almost $400.00. Don't know if I actually need all this but will return if not used. Will be hiring someone to install. Now just waiting for the young men next door to get out of bed and get it out of my car. This sink is replacing a builder's grade SS sink. The problem with the SS sink was the lack of sound insulation, and given we have very hard water here, nearly impossible to keep the sink looking clean. The SS has only a 6" depth so I am happy to be switching to a 9" depth.

Our new house came with a cheap plastic double kitchen sink. It took 5 years for me to get around to changing it. I was planing on using stainless steel but after looking at the prices my wife chose the Kohler Brookfield Cast Iron sink. She said it would be much easier to clean than the stainless steel and it should last forever.
I did not want to change the countertop and I was very happy the 33" x 22" size seems to be standard and it was the perfect replacement for the plastic sink. No cutting was required.
The only thing I would warn you about is the weight. It is a two person job to lift it up into place. Once it is set down it is there to stay.
We have been using the sink for 4 months now and it looks like new. We are very happy with it.

We replaced our kitchen sink with this one. The sink is manufactured of heavy cast iron, deep and has a sparkling white surface. Large cast iron sinks are somewhat expensive, but they hold heat much longer than stainless and will last a lifetime. Shipping weight was 114 pounds, but of course requires being lifted into place but once.

Very nice cast iron sink. Very heavy as is typical you will need help installing it. The drains are moved toward the rear of the sink and will require re-plumbing of the drains/disposal to be closer to the wall. The sink bowls are much larger than standard and your cutout size is critical.
All in all a good replacement for the acrylic sink we've had for a couple of years.
