Rated 5 out of 5Â by Charjd Great for getting out stumps!
Works great. We needed three sycamore tree stumps taken out. The tree cutter could not get his stump grinder inside our yard without dismantling our fence. A neighbor told us a sawzaw would work and it has been fast, easy and now we are planting three small trees in their place.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Nick9ame Very good, but....
I wanted a light saw and there are 3 worth considering around 7 pounds. I bought this one because I really liked the easy load chuck and was not disappointed. Ease of changing blades is of utmost importance, because you are hot, tired, etc and do not want to be tortured when changing a blade. I rated 4 rather than 5 because of case. I agree with another reviewer that case is too small to hold blades and the design of the case pinches the cord as it comes out of the tool. This will shorten the life of the power cord. All it would take is another inch of height and the case would acomidate blades and not pinch the cord.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Steveorino Great tool for yard work
When used with a a pruning blade this is an excellent substitute for a chain saw in situations where the chain saw would be too large or cumbersome. It is the best tool for digging out smaller stumps ( 6" diameter or smaller) simply plunge the sawzall into the ground and move the saw in a circular motion around the stump cutting the roots and allowing you to remove the stump quickly and with very little mess.

This is a great buy so far, used it to cut pressure treated 2x4, metal, and right into the ground to cut the roots of a bush I wanted out. It's variable speed trigger was needed to get the cut started. I bought an old house and there are endless projects to be done. I wanted 1 saw to do everything. Pruning, plywood, pipes, metal and PVC, 2 X whatevers and anything else that might present itself.
I will say that using it made me need a third hand, not the saw's fault. you need two hands to operate it, and another, or a clamping device, to hold smaller pieces that don't have enough weight on their own to stay put, as this does make the work piece jump around a bit.
As for earlier reviews that said there is not enough room in the case for blades, there is now, maybe Milwaukee responded to customer suggestions and made the case bigger.

Saw is very easy to use and has the power to get job done. Price is excellent, not over priced, I thought it would cost more. I recommend this product to anyone doing any carpentry or just working in shop.
