Operating Instructions1. Thrust the Compost Aerator directly into the center of your compost pile.2. As you pull up on the Compost Aerator, the folding wings will open and turn the compost.3. Repeat until your compost is thoroughly mixed.Composting Tips• Turn your compost often (once or twice a week is ideal) to allow air to circulate. This will accelerate decomposition by providing microbes with necessary oxygen.• Locate your compost pile in a convenient location with good drainage, where it will receive about half a day of sun and remain moist and warm (between 110º–160º at the center of the pile).• Locate your compost pile in an area that is not readily visible to neighbors or easily accessible to animals (try camouflaging with a vine-covered trellis or fence).• Limit the size of your compost pile to no larger than 5'x5'.• Layer your compost pile on bare ground with organic materials (vegetable waste, lawn clippings, garden debris) on the bottom, fertilizers or starters in the middle, and top soil or active compost on the top.
