Rated 5 out of 5Â by Nancy1223 Does everything well, and has one unique and great feature
I'm from Hartford, WI where Braun is manufactured - -so I want to support this local company, BUT, I bought these two ceiling fans because they appeared to be of excellent quality. Not cheap, but very "inexpensive" because of the great design and long lasting reputation of Braun products. Installation is NOT easy, however. Required a qualified professional. Operation is easy, once installed. Best feature? That "brilliant" move by Braun to have the "permanent on night light" feature. Perfect. No one stumbles around when using the bathrooms at night, and the light is completely unobtrusive. We put in highly expensive LED "night lights", and worth every penny, since they'll last 20 years.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by JCinGeorgia Very good Vent fan/light
We bought this model based on other reviews. It is substantially quieter than our old fan. Installation was easy. We just removed the old fan, enlarged the opening a little and then installed the new fan. The fan emits a whirring sound much like a ceiling fan. You mainly hear the fan moving air. The light fixture works very well. We use it to improve the bathrooms lighting. We have not used the night light feature yet because that does need more wiring. For the night light you will need a separate circuit and switch. Not a big deal, but you either have to hire someone or you need to be a good DIY type of person. At some point I'll fish another set of wires and install another switch because I do like the feature.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Luca Replaced standard cheap bathroom fans
I had your standard cheap bathroom fans that came with our 1981 house. They were neither quiet or removed any air from the bathroom. I wanted to install a new fan that would prevent the mirror from steaming up and was quiet. This fan does a much better job than our old fan (rated at 50cfm) so I like that. While quieter than the old unit, it still is louder than I would have liked. I thought it would have been also silent. The old unit had a three inch exhaust tube. This unit has a 4 inch exhaust so I bought the 4" to 3" adapter. This made the unit pretty loud in my opinion. I went back to HD and bought a 4" exhaust rube and it was quieter. I would definitely replace the exhaust hose to a 4"line if your current set up is a 3" one.
I do appreciate that they supplied the necessary light bulbs (though at 136 bucks, I would kind of expect it). If your set up is like mine with the old cheap fan, you will need to cut your ceiling hole bigger to get this to fit. After that though, pretty easy to install- about a hour. I like the extra lights and the better air movement, but which it was quieter.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Tapis Excellent bath exhaust fan!
The fan was available at a big box store so there was no waiting time. It was simple enough to install and connect to existing exhaust fan wires. When it comes to exhausting steam in the bathroom it is great. It is also great at exhausting household odors. Great fan!

Rated 4 out of 5Â by MSinVale Moves a lot of air
This fan is relatively quiet. It pulls a lot of air out of the room if the room isn't too tight and allow air to come in like under the door. Sometimes the light doesn't last very long which requires finding a new one. Sometimes the availability of the special light bulb is a problem.
