The drawer is not correctly built - back measures different than the front. This makes it hang up when you try to open it - should pull smoothly but does not. It was all installed when we discovered this.

This cabinet is cheap and the only reason I bought it was because the previous homeowner bought a similar type from RSI/Hampton Bay. I bought on sale and there still over priced. The hinges are low quality screw fell out of one damage to one corner right out of box. There held together with plastic corner reinforcements and staples. I would not buy these cabintes from the Home Depot again.

I've installed many of these Hampton Bay cabinets from Home Depot. The frames of this cabinet are all solid wood, and makes for a sturdy cabinet. The side panels are engineered wood, but so are most cabinets from other companies, especially at this price. If installed and cared for properly they will last a very long time. You won't find a better cabinet for the price.

I recently moved into a new apartment that has absolutely no counter space, the drawers are only about 6" wide, and the huge cabinet space under the corner counter only has a 6" wide door through which none of my big pots/pans/appliances would fit. I looked around everywhere for a cart that might solve the space issue, but could not find any that had drawers that were deep enough for storing my utensil organizer. We resorted to buying the 30 x 34.5 base cabinet in white to match the rest of the kitchen, with a laminate counter-top that almost matches the existing kitchen counters exactly. We're not bolting/caulking it down, since it needs to move with us when we move out someday, but it's sturdy, well-built, with built-in tracks for the drawer and an adjustable shelf. It's perfect for the purpose of storing the microwave on top and providing storage space with the big drawer and the big cabinet doors for me to store bigger items.
It definitely takes up more room than a kitchen cart, but unlike those carts, the drawer goes all the way to the back of the cabinet, and the storage space is bigger than any cart/island. The price (with the cabinet plus the counter top) is around what you would pay for a good quality medium-size cart with less storage space anyway. No assembly is required for the cabinet itself, just screwing handles and gluing the countertop on.
I am very satisfied with my purchase, and would recommend this over a cheap tiny kitchen cart any day!

The Hampton Bay cabinets look good on the outside, but the frame is made of baggas board that begins to shed after a couple of year which will cause owners to have to eventually re-place these cabinets. Don't be fooled by the exterior appearance. So, of course, the cabinet was returned to Home Depot.
