Rated 5 out of 5Â by Musicboxlady I love this unit, it fits my needs perfectly.
It arrived just when promised. I was expecting round uprights, like a larger unit I purchased, but this works perfectly, although not as aesthetically pleasing as the other style. I'm using it in the back room of a small retail establishment and was concerned that it be sturdy enough to be free standing. It stands like a rock! I am not terribly handy, so I had a friend help. It went up quickly and without hassle. The only drawback was that the design dictates the height of shelves, but that has been no real issue for me. Excellent shelving!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by kitnkaboodle Perfect for the job
This shelving is sturdy and assembles easily with rubber mallet or block of wood and hammer. The feature that sold me was the shelf material, not MDF board but a strong metal grid design. Had to order to get this specific size but it came quickly and undamaged. For my project I turned the rails upside down to lock my containers in. Works perfect with containers that are also sold by Home Depot. The shelving units are installed in a bracket system in my vehicle for my remodeling business. I really need to order another set for the other side of the van!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Otto Extremely Worth it
This has to be the easiest thing in the world to put together. No tools necessary (you use a hammer but could use a block of wood instead.), I am not very handy but even I could put it together without hep (There are one or two moments when a second person would be nice but I put the second one I bought together all by myself.) Very sturdy and solid. May not really be able to carry 4,000 pounds but clearly could do a couple of hundred pounds per shelf. My only hesitation is that the shelves are wire. They are strong but not absolutely flat. Also the top caps (little pieces of plastic) won't go on (at least I can't get them to) but has absolutely no effect on the functionality or look..

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Foothill Sturdy, goes together easily
These shelves are easy to assemble. All you need is a rubber mallet (or a regular hammer and, say, a block of wood to cushion the shelf from nicks.) There is one point where it would be helpful to have an assistant, and that would be the moment when you add the upper section on each of the four vertical corner posts. I managed it by myself, but that part of the task would have been easier with another pair of hands.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by Alex Difficult to assemble, harder to move, wider than advertised
Unlike most of the other reviewers I found this to be a pain to put together (it took over three hours, solo). The pieces did not fit together easily and required serious hammering, and even after they were hammered together they came apart easily when I tried to move it. Possibly mine was a lemon.
Also, the finished product was 36.5" wide, not 36 as advertised, and wouldn't fit in the space I had for it.
The design for adding the second level seemed flawed: the corner columns wanted to overlap when hammered together.
