Rated 4 out of 5 Glad I bought it
I bought an electric mower but I am not a tree hugger or pointy head. I needed a new lawn mower and was sick of spilling gas and oil all over the place. This gets the job done. It says it works best on a small yard but I have a fairly large one and still get it all done on one battery charge. It uses a roller blade like my dad's old Toro did in the 1950s and throws the grass out of the back so you're going to look a little green before you're through but man up and you'll get it down. Also, in the Spring you're going to be cutting a couple of times a week with this since the highest you can set it is at about 1 3/4 inches. I've already had two neighbors ask to try it out. You can't beat the price.

This rear throw reel type mower could have been designed better.
The grass catcher is horrible at actully catching grass. 50% of the grass flys over the bag and hits you in the legs. Adjusting it to it's highest level doesn't fix.
Grass catcher doesn't fit quite right on the bottom and becomes dislodged so you have to stop and replace it back on the bar it hooks onto.
Unlike traditional reel type misers where the wheels are behind and in front of the mover (think brigs and Stratton or McLain) the wheels for this mower are on the side which makes it difficult to turn and keep a straight line for a cut.
Good news is that it's quiet. No maintaince I just brush off the grass when I'm done and then plug it in to charge.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by FredG Works well, once the grass mowed down to a height it can handle
I got the Sun Joe 16 for a newly sodded zoysia lawn. Initially the grass was too tall and dense for even the gas rotary mower to get through. It took a blade sharpening and 3 mowings over two days with the gas mower to get it to the point that the Sun Joe could begin to handle it. The first time through with the Sun Joe took a while - the grass was VERY dense, but finally Sun Joe prevailed. Since then mowing the zoysia lawns in the front an behind the house has been a breeze, quick and easy. The battery holds up for the entire job. The grass catcher is easy to get on an off, and easy to empty. The secret to getting the grass catcher to work well is to keep the strap to the mower handle as short as possible.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by LazyGuy Fantastic alternative to a gasoline-powered mower!
Easy to assemble: simply attach the handle. Charging the battery is a breeze; mower is easy to maneuver and grass catcher means you can use the clippings as mulch on needed areas. No need to remember to fill a gas can & no fumes to breathe while mowing. Wonderful product!!!

Rated 2 out of 5Â by Mower2 Some drawbacks
Mower does not cut grass cleanly. Especially fine grass. The clippings catcher falls off easily and does not attach securely to the mower.
