I have 2 of these units and have had problems with both of them. The first one was purchased about a year ago and after about 6 months, the seat cracked. I contacted Brondell and they shipped me a replacement seat for which I had to pay the shipping and install myself. Not great customer service. I thought it must be a manufacturing defect so I purchased a second unit for the second bathroom. Now, 6 months later, the second seat has cracked and the seat switch has failed on the original unit. I will never purchase another Brondell product..

Rated 4 out of 5Â by FromTO Tankless design
With a tankless design supplying "unlimited" hot water, it also means the water temperature is controlled by the heater switching on and off repeatedly, and it causes flickering of bathroom lights when hot water spray is in use. Other than that it's great.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Angel Don't know why I didn't buy this earlier!
This bidet seat was really easy to install on my two piece toilet. Do note that it most likely will not fit a one piece toilet as the tank archs around the toilet seat area and the bidet cannot slide back far enough.
I don't know why I didn't buy this bidet seat earlier! You can control the temp of the water, dryer and seat and the water stream is adjustable forward and backwards as well as a wider angle of spray. I feel much fresher/cleaner and as a family we use much less toilet paper...and less plugged toilets...YEA!
The pic I included can't show it working other than the sterilization mode as you have to set on it to make it work....and well....you don't really want to see that...lol.
If you are looking for a full featured bidet seat you will be not be disappointed in the Swash 1000.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by Golfersim1546 Nice but....
This product performs as advertised. Some potential for Splashing and getting water on the floor in some modes.
Reduces usable size of toilet.
Would more highly recommend this product for elongated toilets.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by Earlyadopter Mine broke twice and 1.5 years
When it works, this seat is an absolute pleasure to use. I couldn't be happier when it comes to functionality and convince. The problem is that mine has broken twice in less than 2 years. The first time it was a couple months passed the 1 year full warranty. When removing the unit to clean the toilet I noticed a rust colored stain on the china bowl in the shape of the outline of the seat. The same pattern was repeated on the underside of the Swash. I noticed the underside of the Swash was also wet and a few drops of water came out of the bottom of the unit when tilted. I thoroughly dried the unit and reinstalled it. The next day before using it I removed the seat to see if it was dry and it was. I ran it through 1 wash cycle and removed the seat to check for leaks. My suspicions were confirmed, the seat was leaking internally. I called customer service for an RMA. I had to remove the unit and ship it back at my expense (both ways). I was annoyed to realize that once removed the water supply to the toilet had to remain off or the âTâ connector needed to be removed. This wouldnât normally be an issue but the threads on the âTâ connector and the threads on the plastic toilet inlet donât exactly match up and it took about an hour to install the connector the first time so I didnât want to remove it. This meant that this toilet would be out of commission for more than 2 weeks while my unit was out for repair. Brondell contacted me with an estimate for repair. My unit needed a new heater, (2) IR sensors, and a multi-way valve. With labor and shipping it cost me $90 (75% warranty for 2nd year). I was bummed that it cost that much to repair but I really like the product. I even purchased Brondellâs inline water filter to protect the unit from future problems. I did this even though I run a high quality whole house filter and change it every 2 months. Itâs 8 months after the repair now and to my dismay its leaking again. It appears that this unit is just not very well built. It seems unreasonable to me that the unit should break two times in such a short period especially when itâs only used by 1 person. I donât know what to do at this point. I donât want to be 2+ weeks without a toilet again. I feel like paying to repair it again is just throwing good money after bad. As nice as this unit is when it works I canât recommend getting one unless you have an extra bathroom you can live without for weeks at a time and donât mind dealing with the hassle and expense of removing it and shipping it back for repairs.
