Rated 5 out of 5Â by Refridgetech Best power tool I own
I bought this tool in November of 2012 and have used in 5+ days a week ever since. It gets used and abused on every job. I'm a commercial kitchen equipment technician and use this on greasy fryers, hot ovens, wet dishwashers, zero degree walk in freezers, etc. It gets extremely hot, cold, slimy, and wet and it never stops working. I use it on every job every day. I regularly use drill bits on this gun to drill through stainless.
When my coworkers saw the versatility of a tool like this they all bought there own, all different brands. It didn't take long before they regretted not getting the Bosch. It's light, powerful, and fast. The chuck is fantastic, I can change bits with one hand. The LED lights are so bright I took my flash light out of my tool bag and just use this impact gun as my flash light.
I have woodworking power tools, mechanics power tools, electricians power tools and this is the best power tool I've ever used. It has lasted through me dropping it off ladders into snow, getting rained on and much more and hasn't missed a beat.
Thank you Bosch for making such a quality tool. I'm hooked!!

I bought this tool 2 years ago. I'm an automotive dealership technician and I've used this tool at least once a day, six days a week for 2 years. Both batteries included still hold a powerful charge. The tool works the same as the day I pulled it out of the box. After 2 years, the power of the tool is still surprising. Several other technicians in my shop have switched to Bosch 12v drills and impacts over the "tool truck" brands. The Bosch 12v tools outperform these tools at a fraction of the price. I even bought a second one, so now I have an impact screwdriver and wrench without switching bits.

A wonderful tool for many home projects but its apparently complex power transmission mechanism isn't durable. Mine failed in less than 3 years of less than moderate usage. I emailed Bosch for repair options over a month ago and no response.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by EMTBender Could be perfect with a few mods
I'm a professional electrician by trade and a Bosch tool fan. I purchased the PS41-2A to lighten my loadout by replacing my 18V impactor. First the good, fits great in my tool pouch, very comfortable grip, has more than enough power to drive everything from 3" drywall screws to 2-3/4" Tapcons in concrete without complaining, super light weight, batteries last all day, thank you for reducing the size of the battery charger, great trigger sensitivity, love the tool. Now the areas to be improved; bit storage on the tool would be super helpful as I switch from Philips head to hex all day long, the lights are like three individual spots and don't blend into one big flood, the lights should stay on a few seconds after trigger release so I can use it as a flash light too. Overall, a great tool and one of my favorites, would have gotten five stars with these mods.
On a separate note, how about a charger that accepts both 18V and 12V so I don't have to carry two chargers, I was super excited that the 12V batteries looked like they would fit a competitors tool but alas the battery bases are keyed 180 degrees out of phase to prevent that.

Previously used a different brand 18V impact driver - big, heavy, so-so battery life. The PS-41 was a revelation - so lightweight, yet plenty of power, lasted for what seemed like days compared to the older tool. And on top of that, the solid, professional feel of a Bosch. Can't be beat.
