PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
All Monograms are sand-cast in solid Nickel Silver and highlighted with a brushed finish. The Monogram Door Knockers were designed by Michael Healy, an accomplished Rhode Island artisan known for his truly Unique Door Knockers. The Monogram Knockers come in Michael Healy's stylish gift packaging. They are the perfect gift for everybody from your child's bedroom door to a wedding gift. Nickel Silver is an alloy that has a warm silver color which is attained by adding nickel to bronze. Michael combines a high polished finish with brushed accents to generate a contemporary look. A stainless steel brush on a high speed lathe is used to create the brushed effects. The mirrored finish of polished nickel silver is achieved through varying degrees of sanding and buffing. Michael uses these techniques to highlight or accent the raised areas on a piece.
