Upon receiving the door I noticed it was not quite squared. It was only secured by two plastic packaging straps and plastic wrap. After taking the wrap and straps off, I noticed the door sagging due to the hinge screws being loose. By hand, I attempted to tighten and check all (18) hinge screws, only to find out all were stripped due to being over tightened from the factory. I had to repair all (18) screw holes in order for the door to hold.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by JLew Best bang for the buck for a solid door
These doors are very nice for the price. I installed five during a remodel and they were all nice and true, they feel so much nicer than my old 1970 hollow core doors!

I ordered about 10 of these doors in various sizes from Home Depot. These doors are incredibly cheap. The faces of them were damaged under the packaging. The hinges were not installed into the jamb mortises correctly. Some of the hinge screws were stripped when received. On the active/active double doors they do not even mortise the jambs for ball catch strike plates. Incredibly cheap.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by gcavener Hinges are screwed to soft MDF
I decided to remove the hinges to paint the door. The screws came out with a few little chunks of MDF attached. I had to be very careful when reinstalling the screws because the MDF is extremely soft. I expect that the screws will eventually strip out. There should have been some more substantial material to hold the hinges. I know that the doors are quite inexpensive, but even so, they should be made to last a while.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by DissatisfiedHDCustomer899 Horrible purchase. Absolutely horrible.
The door came pre-hung as it was intended to, however it opened the wrong way. The door was damaged severely. Cosmetic damage all over, dings scratches and substantial dents. The door was not painted, instead it was poorly primed.
