Rated 5 out of 5Â by Jennfafa Dyson Best Vacuum Brand Ever!
This is my second Dyson. My first one lasted a good 10 years before some of the parts started breaking. We could've replaced the broken pieces but let's be honest, I wanted a new Dyson!
This Dyson has not let me down. The rollerball technology and lightweight feel make this Dyson much better than my old. The suction is still amazingly great. The pieces easily come apart for cleaning. This is great for the OCD neat freak I am.
My only complaint is that the cord is shorter. I used to be able to vacuum my whole house by only moving the cord plug in once. Now I have to move it three times. Please bring back the extra long cord Dyson!

I debated spending the money, but you really do get what you pay for. I can't believe how much dirt, dust and pet hair it picked up. I had to empty it twice the first go around my 1 1/2 bedroom cottage. The reviews I read were very helpful and very true. I did a before and after barefoot test on my kitchen and bathroom floors. There was no grit, sand or orther particles present. The attachments are very easy to use too. I am a believer and wish I had purchased this vacuume long ago.
My dog sheds tiny, white hairs. I wear a lot of black. I will be saving a lot of money on lint rollers thanks to this vacuume. Sofa, bed spreads and chairs are now hair free.
I love my new Dyson.

I had previously owned a Dyson, which was heavy and awkward but did a good job. So I was disposed to want another Dyson, and this one was labeled as good for pet fur, lighter, and more agile. Unfortunately this is not Dyson but ersatz-Dyson, made shabbily of cheap material. The suction is lousy and nothing snaps into place but has to be wrestled with. I never did figure how to remove the 2nd filter on the rotating ball. I'm returning this immediately. The operator told me that this Dyson would naturally have less suction than my older heavier one - it's a shame that wasn't mentioned in the specs!

I have never written a review before but here goes. I do like the DC 24 and the way it picks up the dog and cat hair plus the dirt on all my floors both the carpet and tile. It does a wonderful job. The first time I ever used a Dyson was at my daughters but found that a full sized machine was a little too heavy so when this came out I decided to try it - I really like it. Only two problems that I have found with it - one the cord is way too short and then once about every three to four times of emptying the bin - it releases all the dirt back on the the carpet before I can get the canister off the main portion of the machine. However, I still like it and am considering a canister type Dyson now.

i have 2 vacuums before getting this one. one for a hardwood and another for a rug. they all work fine still now and i was hoping that having dc24 would do the job for both.
I had it for a year now. suction is better than any other vacuum i have used but it performs horribly on rugs. It is very difficult to maneuver on even a very huge rug that is secured on the floor. I need to run several times to pick up all dust/hairs.
also it takes a lot of strength to maneuver the vacuum on the rug. the handle couldn't take the pressure and it broke.
now i am using it only at the garage to vacuum my cars.
i wouldn't get another dyson.
