Although it appears humming bird-friendly, it is not. I have watched many times and they simply DO NOT like sticking their beak into a 1+-inch long yellow stem! I think the people at perky-pet have not even observed their product in action, or in-action, as the case appears to be. they need to redesign their products. Plus, it leaks around the seam where the 2 pieces of the base screw together. I have an older (20 yrs) feeder that they love.

Overall I am well pleased with this product!
A major concern:
a 'flower petal' keeps coming off, when cleaning!
Not sure if it's the same one each time- but I almost LOST it down the drain!
I have an older version of this Hummingbird feeder, and did not have that problem with it!
Otherwise- I could give this an Excellent Rating!
I did NOT RECEIVE any FREE NECTAR with this, I saw it in other feeders!!! ???

Easy to use but when I went to refill the bottom was full of dead bee's which is upsetting. Bee's are necessary to our society and I don't like a product that kills them. We are trying one more time and if it happens again I will trash them both. (I bought two, this one and a larger style)

I have bought more feeders than I can count and had problems with all of them being invaded by bees and wasps, not to mention ants. They molded easily and it took longer to clean out the little dead bodies than it did to clean out the mold. Then they leaked or dripped with no way to fix it. I bought one of these feeders and at first had a huge leaking problem until I actually read the instructions and tightened the lid correctly so it created a vacuum. Now I not only have a leakless feeder that's easy to hang, the bees and wasps aren't even interested in it. Finally the perfect feeder. I have since purchased 4 more and have thrown away all my other feeders. Thanks Perky-Pet.
