Rated 5 out of 5Â by KBENRIQ I love my Arcadia 5000 Carport
The only problem I had with this product was finding someone to install it, also getting the footings level. Putting it together was easy for the installer, but getting the footings level seemed to be a bit of a problem. However, now that it is all done, I love its good quality, and it's very nice looking in my front yard. Even the installer said he would like to get one for himself. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone. It's definitely worth the price.

Wanted to cover our large patio area, but the estimates for a custom made wooden patio cover ranged from $7,000 to $12,000, way over our budget. Also, here in the Pacific Northwest, sunlight is at a premium, and the conventional patio designs had shingle roof tiles. I found the Palram Arcadia on-line, and Home Depot had the best price, by far! Because this cover uses transparent panels, it allows the daylight to shine right on through. I purchased two, and installed them side-by-side, which provides a total of 16' by 24' of coverage. The only negative I would add is that some mention of installing either gaskets or otherwise water-proofing the gutter connections in the manual would have been nice. Harder to do after they are assembled. ;-)

It is very well made, very attractive. I hired professionals to install it and put in concrete footings. It took 3 days to do. It was very expensive to have assembled. You need at least 2 very strong men to assemble it. I wish it was a little longer. My new Audi Q5 just fits underneath it length wise. The center poles are right where you open your door too so that's a little irritating but I'm sure when there's 3 feet of wet snow on top of it I'll be thrilled not having to clear that off the SUV. I'm still in shock about the installation fee. Over all a good buy for people that live in the elements, perfect if your vehicle isn't that long or wide.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by JonL Awesome product, very classy and modern look.
I live in a nice neighborhood and was nervous that the carport would look out of place. It didn't! If anything it enhanced the look of my house. Was not easy to put together, but straightforward. Definitely need two people and plan on a long day with some aches and pains the following day. All in all very worth it, and I am very happy with the purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by RickvW Great design and 11hrs to build (if you have a foundation)
We bought 2 of these and are very glad we did. They were installed on our concrete driveway which slopes a bit but the installation/design makes sure this is all square and neat looking IF you follow the instructions. These instructions are VERY clear in most parts and can be downloaded via google in case you want to have a peek.
The end result looks very clean and modern and adds value to your home, whether used as a patio cover, carport or what other use.
The clear polycarbonate roof lets through a lot of sunlight, so just be aware. It does keep our cars cooler than pure plazing sun. The protection from snow and rain is what we wanted and it does that quite well.
A couple of findings:
We did this between my wife and I. She is not handy and I am a banker... It took about 11 hrs for the first one and about 9 for the second one. So plan in a full day to get one done.
Secondly: the concrete anchors are the galvanized ones: 5/16 by 3 1/2 inches. They break easily. We went and got some better ones at the depot. Dont find out too late: when the first one breaks get the high tensile ones.
Follow instructions: don't tighten stuff when it says hand tighten or you will have a hard time getting the whole building square.
