I used this to heat a horse barn as I installed horse stalls. The barn is 34X44 with 10ft ceilings and no insulation. I did use blankets to cover the stairwell access to the second floor hay loft to prevent heat loss.
The barn was 20 degrees when we started. Within 1 1/2 hours it was 50 degrees. By the time it warmed up to 30 degrees outside at noon the barn was 62 degrees.
I have only used this for 4 days, so I can't comment on durability, but as this is a very basic design, I don't expect problems.
It burns maybe a gallon per hour. It is noisy enough that we didn't play a rado as we worked, but it wasn't bad enough to hinder normal voice communication.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Britishguy great heater
I purchased this heater today for my workshop. The heater did a fantastic job of warming the area up. My work shop is approximately 15 feet x 40 feet. This heater is awesome. My work shop has no insulation as of yet, has a tin roof, and many gaps open to the elements. I am not kidding, I took my sweater off this evening due to the high output from the heater. I hate the cold, but this heater does such a fantastic job I could have worked all night without any worries. I am more than happy with this purchase. I would recommend this product to anyone requiring instant and continuous heat. It was 39 degrees tonight, and I was working in a tee shirt due to this heater, unreal.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by NJAl A good Heater, just not great.
Bought heater to dryout house from Hurricane Sandy. Pros:
Its easy to use and set up. It throws off alot of heat and is effective. Powerful blower. Fuel gauge is a nice detail.
Needs electricity to operate. (If I had electricity, I wouldn't have needed the heater!). Heater needs to have the ability of running off a battery in a pinch.
Box shows it comes with wheels. It doesn't. Although Manufacture claims "Portability and easy transport". Not really. A hot, heavy (when fueled), wheel-less unit, is not easy to transport from room to room, when used to dry a house.
Fuel tank is four gallons and standard Kerosene containers holds five. would have preferred tank held the same a container.
Overall I do recommend it, despite it's glaring shortcomings.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by MattK Will be Nice for Winter
Puts out some good heat at about 700F. Takes about 20 minutes to heat up a two car garage from 40F to 70F. When used with a good quality K-1 fuel it burns nice and clean with no fumes. The smell reminds me of burning JP-4 when I worked in the Air Force. It burns the fuel at a rather good clip so I would recommend getting a 5 gallon canister on standby if your doing a weekend project.
