Rated 1 out of 5Â by LitCrit Looks fine but not well designed
While my wife loved the look, I don't think it is well designed. Heavy on top and light on the bottom. I weighted the plastic base down with bricks, as suggested. However, that that was not enough. The wind that came thru a few days ago blew it over. The heavy metal top was sheared off by the fall. The solar sections still work in the sheared off top and so we now have a lanten head that shines brightly while sitting on a table in the back yard. I have not figured what to do with the plastic base and the metal pole.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by Andrew Pretty, but questionable output
The lamp looks very nice, but the claim of a comparable 40 watt output for 8-10 hours is misleading. There is a high and low setting, the low setting is very dim, and it may last 10 hours, but I doubt it. The high output setting might barely compare to a 40 watt bulb, and is good for about 4 hours. I also live in San Diego, a solar paradise. I am sure in less sunny places, consumers will be greatly disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Nannydog Easy installation and attractive addition to our backyard.
The product arrived on time and was easy to assemble. The lamppost makes an attractive addition to our back yard installed near our dock. So far, it has withstood some rather windy days with the base filled first with a bag of landscape stones followed by garden topsoil in which to plant flowers. The only downside is that it doesn't provide
a tremendous amount of light but in our case that's not too
negative as we have great solar lighting on our dock piers. Though there are 4 sensors on the lamp fixture, it only remains lighted for 5-6 hours, not through the whole night like our dock lights.

Attractive post light with planter base. Easy to put together. Top heavy, so planter base requires weighting down (rocks and soil). Mostly ornamental, solar light not that bright. Good for small area.
