Rated 5 out of 5Â by Norm Exactly whatr I was looking for, and then some!
Preferred a back-up generator for a sump pump system rather than a battery. This fits the bill, much more than what I had expected. In addition to the sump, it is sufficient to carry just about all of the electrical service my house needs, with a long run-time due in part to the large fuel tank, plus the push button start for a senior citizen makes this item is a worry free way to go. A short abrupt loss of power, or long time consuming type, they are one in the same as far as this item is concerned. The cost to "hook up" the connections for a free and easy push button start was high, but I suspect will be well worth the time, effort and money.,

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Mike22BMIT Bad Plug
Well, it arrived with the cheap plastic spark plug wire broken in half. This should have been rubber like in autos. It's connected to the magneto so it's a big job. Took about 4 calls, 3 e-mails and 6 weeks to get resolved. Once that was fixed, I started it up with the first push of the button. Ran a little rough for about 15 minutes, then settled down to what I assume is normal. It does seem to do the job, and I'm still happy with the end results. The rest of the generator seems to be quality work and material though. So it gets 4 stars.

It arrived perfect. And very well packaged. Installing wheels and handles were a piece of cake. I built a custom shed for it. Connected it to my home transfer switch. It powered my home with no problem. Its powerful. It ran well for about two hours straight. No leaks, no overheating. I connected battery to a solar panel, so its perfectly charged when i need it. I wont be caught offguard again, like with SANDY. I highly recommend this generator. It was on backorder, and i waited almost two months for it. It was worth the wait. And the price was excellent at $999. Well built. And features are all great.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by Engineer Terrible warranty service.
Bought it brand new. First time putting gas in, it leaks gas and Generac wont repair it. Never started it because it leaks gas. It is under warranty but Generac customer service just stalls. TERRIBLE WARRANTY SERVICE.
I cannot say anything good about this generator because I have never been able to use it. it has 0.0 hours use on it.
Home Depot does not service this product so I cannot rate them on service.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Josh Great product! Starts like a charm. Easy install. Excited for a storm!
After getting slammed by Nemo and sitting in a house with the temp a little under 40 degrees I originally looked at a stand-by generator so I wouldn't have to deal with the upkeep of a portable. Got quoted $8700 to get it all installed including the generator. Refused to pay that and instead looked into this guy as I knew the approx. wattage for my house. Minus the oven and dryer it powers the entire house although we only have 10 circuits hooked up to it including boiler, sump pump, fridge, bathrooms and most lights and plugs. Had a sparky install the manual transfer switch which shows me how much I'm loading and never allows an overload. He showed me the ins and outs of everything. Super easy and a 1/5 of the price of installing a stand-by. I like that. Actually looking forward to another storm to see how she goes...
