Rated 2 out of 5 by 1 reviewer.
Rated 2 out of 5 by Seemingly great meter At first glance this meter appears to be of good qaulity. The jaw feels tight and the selecter knob feels good too. The largest problem for me is in the amperage feature. There are 3 settings, 0/6a, 10/60a, and 100 to 600 amps. Maxed out at the lowest setting you can see you are above 6 amps, so you switch over to 10/60 and you quickly realize that anywhere between 7 to 9 amps there is no way to accurately measure you load. This is a VERY COMMON range to see a 20a circuit floating in. Balancing loads would get frustrating very fast. The lockjaw feature is ok but a lot of us would like to use the jaw to hang off of something while we work in a panel etc. You're unable to do this in any other settings than amps. In the same price range and less this meter feels and looks like a radio shack piece of junk. Its about an 1 1/2" in depth and feels oversized and brittle. There is also no indicator showing battery level or that unit is working. I'll prob snag the leads and let the kids have at it. Do yourself a favor and grab an Ideal or Klein in the same price range.
