VELUX solar blinds are powered by solar energy, allowing you to control the light in a room using only the power of the sun. Blackout blinds can convert day into night, blocking even the brightest sunlight. This makes them perfect for rooms that require total room darkening such as bedrooms or TV/entertainment rooms. Our innovative solar-powered design is operated by a KLI keypad (included) and requires no wiring and no electrician.

• An energy efficient aluminum coating on the exterior side that acts as a heat barrier, increasing energy efficiency up to 20% and reducing your heating and cooling costs due to the better natural climate control in your room
• Glare control - blackout blinds block direct sunlight to significantly reduce or eliminate glare on your tv or computer screen, which increases the versatility of the room
• Light blocking fabric and tight design block sunlight when desired so that less than 2% enters the room
• Velux solar blinds are eligible for the 30% federal tax credit, including product and installation costs
• DSH M08 models are designed specifically for Velux VS M08 series skylights
• Installation on non-VELUX skylights or other VELUX models is not recommended
• VS series skylights come with pick&click brackets pre-installed for fast and easy installation of sunscreening blinds and accessories
• Velux radio frequency wall-mounted keypad (KLI 110, included with solar blinds) or advanced remote (KLR 100, sold separately) allow the user to operate skylights and blinds from almost anywhere within the house and can operate skylights and blinds individually or as part of a group
• With the KLR 100 remote you can create programs to control the blinds automatically based on time of day, day of the week or month of the year
