These planters were easy to assemble and look great. I had asked my husband to make some planters for me last year and he never got around to it. So glad we ordered them this year instead of trying to build them on our own. Note: If you have an electric screwdriver you can assemble one in 10 minutes.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Theresa Nice looking; easy assembly.
Nice looking, easy to assemble planters. A very good value. The finish looks good, yet looks like a stain that does not go very deep. We'll see how it looks after a year of weathering.
The corners screw together from both sides for a nice, secure fit. Easy instructions.
We assembled these and put them outside a week before we had a chance to fill them. It rained, making the bottom pieces (which simply sit down inside the box with gaps to allow for swelling...) swell to the point of buckling, causing one to split. After they dried, they shrank back to their dry size. The split isn't a problem, as the bottom is already in three loose pieces (now four :) ) anyway. We assume this would not have been a problem had we filled them to weigh them down before the rain.

This product in the rough- though easy to put together is really not ready yet for outdoors. I had to water-proof (used plant safe type) both planters entirely. Once they were water-proofed they looked really nice. As they have been outdoors, newly planted for only 1 month, I'll wait and see before I give a definitive opinion.

After reading the other reviews, I was a little more prepared for putting together the planters. Do NOT try to assemble them with a hand screwdriver...I used my battery-powered screw gun and the assembly was very easy. Also, since a lot of people complained about the warping of the bottom panels after getting wet, I sealed them and the entire planter with deck sealer after completing my deck. Don't know how effective that will be since it has not rained yet, nor have I watered the plants more than once so far. Also, instead of filling the planters with soil, I planted my flowers in individual 10" pots and inserted them into the planters. Works well, looks great and I can move the planters around since they're not full of soil and too heavy.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by Tatiana Good looking, but...
I have four of these in my backyard. They were easy to put together and look pretty good. However, the bottoms (inserts) warped and broke into pieces when they got wet! Not a good choice for use on a patio.
