Bought these pliers to replace my worn out Ideal pair.
Found the stripper portion works well and they feel like a solid pair of pliers in your hand. The needle nose portion and main cutters are starting to show wear after about 2 months of use.
The plastic slide lock also opens quite frequently but that's not an issue to me.

I saw this and immediately wanted it. I had been looking to reduce tools in by toolbox and this 6 in 1 fit the bill. Brought it home and used it a week later to install a chandelier. The tool itself was great but thanks to bad design, the plastic sliding closure is loose in its channel so when you tilt the pliers ever so slightly, the piece moves forward prohibiting the pliers from closing its jaws. I could not trim the wires until I tilted the pliers the other way so the slide tilted back. Will try again. I recently purchased an M12 drill/drivers, light and reciprocating set but returned it because the drill had a defective trigger. Second time I buy a Milwaukee tool and 2 problems. Either I've just had bad luck or they are not maintaining their quality?

great pliers, with a solid, rugged construction. won't be breakin' these puppies on the job. plastic lock isn't much but that doesn't matter to me . would definitely recommend over any competitors tool.

Maintenance field 90 day review. They have a good grip and dont pinch or flex while stripping/cutting wires. They are holding up ok.. The solid cutting point is showing wear on the cutting edge. Mind you im only using this for electrical wires. The laser etched grid pattern on the inside of the tip got worn down while i was bending/pulling a fish line. It has lost some of its grip because of this obviously. The locking mechanism started leaving the pliers open a little bit after use. Although its still keeping the jaw locked its something to be picky about i guess. The stripping portion of the pliers works flawlessly and shows no wear. Slightly overpriced in my opinion but where else am i going to get a matching set of red and black milwaukee tools :) I do not use these pliers daily like an electrician but working in maintenance they are holding up well so far.
note: specs say 10in length i measure 7.5in

They fixed the lock clamp that everyone was complaining about. It is now metal and seems like it will hold up very good.
