For additional assurance, it also includes a 1- to 12-hour programmable fan shutoff for flexible control, and a room-exit feature that turns the light off 3 minutes after you leave the room. It can be used handheld or wall-mounted with a convenient wall bracket (included). This remote control features wireless operation, so it requires no hard wiring, and it can be operated from a distance of up to 40 ft. The unit installs quickly, even in pre-mounted fans, and it uses 4 AAA 1-1/2-volt batteries (included).
