Rated 4 out of 5 by It's hard beat a warm tile floor under your feet. It's really an unusual feeling to have a warm floor beneath your feet while walking on a tiled basement floor but it doesn't come cheap nor easy. This material is very expensive. I'm not an engineer but it seems to me that this product is way overpriced per role but if it's in your budget then, by all means, go for it. A few notes to keep in mind, when measuring your square footage of coverage, remember NOT to include closets or dead space without ventilation and do reduce your overall calculation by 10%. E.g. The floor I did was 280 sq ft and I originally ordered 2 rolls of 140 square feet each. I later needed to reduce the square footage as there is a gap at the walls that needs to be left out of the installation/calculation. As for the "Ease Of Installation" category, I'm not sure that I rated it fairly. This is not a simple DIY project. t takes some knowledge, expertise, electrical work and a lot of time and labor but the instructions are relatively clear. Keep in mind after you install this product you will most likely be pouring self leveling concrete over the entire area and then installing tile over that. One mistake and a repair could be a costly nightmare. The quality seems to be good. The neighbors on both sides of the town home I worked in have electric heated flooring too but they both had issues with theirs. I don't know the brand nor whom installed them so I make claim here about their product other than to say the repairs were expensive. Keep that in mind when choosing an installer. Value, as I stated above, I think the material is overpriced but it's still cheaper than retrofitting a liquid floor heating system but they are of much better quality when it comes to heating and the efficiency is far superior with them too.
