Rated 5 out of 5Â by danita2k2 The Time Master 20200 (TM) has great well thought-out features for a mower of this size and caliber.
â¢The TM â Gas Tank is easy to fill but do so outside so that you can see into the tank to prevent fuel spillage.
â¢The TM â Oil Dip Stick is easy to read - remove/insert.
â¢The TM â Cutting Height adjustments for the front and rear wheels are all on the left side of the mower and easy to read and use.
â¢The TM - Electric Start feature is nice and starts up on the dime every time.
â¢The TM - Self Propel Drive is powerful, self-adjustable, and comfortable to operate.
â¢The TM - Blade Control is easy to use and a nice time saving feature.
â¢The TM - Grass Bag is big and easy to attach and remove.
â¢The TM - Recycling grass clippings works great when your lawn is dry. However, if your lawn is wet this feature could cause clumps of grass to build on your lawn and clog your mower.
â¢The TM â Cleaning Washout Fitting Feature works very well and might require repeating several times in order to thoroughly clean under the deck of the mower.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Matt With a few adjustments this is an incredible mower.
First off I work on small engines and lawn mowers as a hobby, so that has allowed me to come into using this product with knowledge of potential ways to negate a lot of its perceived weaknesses. Here's what I've found:
Deck Clogging: Adjusting the rear of the mower one notch above the front of the mower (or dropping the front of the mower one setting, whatever you want to do) does make a huge difference. For most people this is probably enough to see a huge benefit when mulching. You'll also see a general higher quality of cut, and this is coming from someone who cuts thick St. Augustine grass at 4".
Poor Mulching: If you're still experiencing poor mulching, throw on the Turfmaster (the commercial varient of this model) blades and you'll see a definite difference. The Turfmaster blades have a slightly higher lift, and it does matter. If you're good with tools and a perfectionist, you can also bend the stock Timemaster blades with a vice and a pair of grips. Just make sure they're all equal in angle. You can get Turfmaster blades for about $38 for the pair, or $45 with shipping included.
Lack of Power: Lots of people feel the mower is a bit under-powered. I like to make RPM adjustments on my mowers to gain some substantial power. Typically these mowers are rated for higher RPMs then they come with at stock, I imagine just so they're 'safer' or last longer. My mower engine was just below 3100 RPMs, and with a quick adjustment to the governor arm (you can find videos on youtube on how to do it, it's not very difficult though) I set the RPMs at 3450 and saw an incredible difference in speed and power. Just make sure you have a tachometer and don't go above 3600. I find around 3400 to be the sweet spot between power and longevity.
And that's about it. When I made these adjustments they essentially removed every negative the mower had, so now it is basically the perfect mower for me.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by RichieK Great time saver
Have used this for one entire season. The name is appropriate, as it saves a lot of time versus the 22" Toro Personal Pace from which I upgraded. I did not have to plug the charger in one time all season and it started right away after winter storage (which is a long time here in Minnesota).
Overall satisfied, but I am disappointed with the wash-out port. It is basically worthless in my opinion. The belt from the transmission came off late this season, but the local dealer reinstalled it at no charge to me.
The folding handle is a breeze to use and a real space saver. This 30" mower takes up less storage space than my previous 22" mower simply because of the easy fold handle.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Capitano Excellent Cut Quality, Slightly Underpowered
First of all, my experience with Home Depot purchasing the mower and having it delivered to our garage by the transportation company was Outstanding. Now lets talk about the positives and negatives with the TORO TimeMaster 30. The unboxing and set up was very easy. The engine started right up and I was amazed with how smooth and quiet this mower is. The flip up storage option of the handle is a wonderful feature. When you engage the blades, as it states in the owners manual, you need to pull the bar back slowly, otherwise it really boggs down or could stall the engine. I have found that mowing heavy thick lush spring grass you will need to set the rear height adjustment one notch higher than the front. I mow with setting B in the rear and C in the front. This setting has the best cut quality for me and any lower you will have to mow your grass every other day. The Briggs 8.75 engine is slightly underpowered for my needs and if you want to mow your yard once a week in the mulch setting, THIS MOWER IS NOT FOR YOU. This mower does best mowing at least twice weekly during the heavy growing spring season. You will need to mow the grass dry and not with any dew or being wet. Another extra step I really didn't plan on doing, after each mowing it is a MUST to clean out the built up grass from the underside of the deck. I just scrape mine, not a big fan of putting water near spindle bearings. I did install a mulch baffle kit. part # 116-5588-01 and high lift blades part # 116-6358-03
these are parts from the TORO Commercial 30 mower. This kit enhanced the mulching and cut quality to perfection. I just did my first service on the engine and I used the recommended 5W30 Synthetic oil. This seemed to free up some more power when needed in longer grass. (Just my opinion). My overall experience with this mower has been nothing short of fantastic! Is this a perfect mower? No! My expectations and being 53 years old and not liking to mow, this TimeMaster 30 has put the fun back in mowing for me. Never would of expected that. Bottom Line, I would highly recommend this mower and appreciate the Outstanding Customer Service from Home Depot.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by SDC12345 Do not buy this product
All around Terrible mower. Terrible Dependability. My mower has been repaired 4 times in less than 4 months. Terrible cut quality my 20 year old mower cuts better than the time master. It takes multiple passes to cut your grass even to a passable level. Time waster is a better term. This product is junk. Toro has not stood behind their product. Definitely not an upgrade for a 20 year old mower. Save yourself the money and purchase something different.
