I recently bought a mini-refrigerator for my bar area but the new refrigerator did not have a built-in light. The pit area behind our bar is dark even in the day time. Not wanting to turn the lights in the pit area on every time we wanted something to drink, I bought this motion detecting LED light to serve as a refrigerator light. A two inch square piece of velcro holds the light firmly in place. Open the refrigerator door and the light comes on within one second, then turns off shortly after the door is closed. Works great, perfect amount of light for my use... couldn't be happier.

I used a different style that Amazon sells and it works ok, but this one is far better because it does not come on when there is enough natural or other light in the room or wherever.
And, it has a wide range. TIP: I put some transparent tape partially over the sensor to reduce the range.

Really lights up a dark closet, I wish I had bought it sooner.

We love these little but powerful lights. We put one by the garage door to be used outside whenever needed. We keep one near the bedrooms incase of power outages and I have one in my car because you never know when you might need one. We have already decided to order more for each car, my parents, grandmother's house and other uses.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by pahiker Great for an area where you cannot run wiring
I needed lighting for a stairway leading into the basement. The problem is that there is no close location to run wiring from, cost to do so would have been far more than it would have been worth. I put two of these on the ceiling above the steps and the amount of light is perfect.
Two reasons this did not get five stars:
No instructions. In fact, they came in plain cardboard boxes, giving me the idea that Home Depot purchased in bulk and repackaged for shipping.
The light timing is short, very short. While I was installing the second light (two screws) the first one kept turning on and off. I've had the one at the top turn off while I was walking down. Fortunately, the sensor is good enough that it turned back on. Wish there was a way to adjust the timing. Then again, maybe there is, but without the instructions I'm just not sure. Home Depot should provide the instructions, either online or by copying them, if they are going to do repackaging like this.
