Rated 5 out of 5Â by Buzz Great value and oh so easy to use.
I bought this item after getting fed up with the tempermental starting and operation of my gas model and after reading its many other positive product reviews. The price was right and the shipping was free and efficient. I've only used it twice so far but am well-pleased with its performance. It's light, fully adjustable, starts with the squeeze of its trigger, needs no cumbersome extension cord, and, amazingly, the autofeed worked perfectly and I didn't break a line even once! I was even able to do the entire perimeter of my 1/2 acre yard on a single charge - even though the instruction manual suggests that the battery will not achieve its maximum duration for the first few uses. And add to that the speedy 90-minute recharge time of its lithium-ion battery. Of course this little gem has not got quite the power of my gas string trimmer (when it starts) but most of that power was overkill for the typical homeowner anyway. Yes indeed, I'm thoroughly satisfied with my purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by savsav Amazing value, string auto-feed feature works like a charm!
This is the best weed eater/string trimmer I've ever owned. The string auto feed feature works really well. I have about a 0.25 acre yard, and I have to trim all around it. After charging it fully, I'm able to trim it 3 times on the same charge (so a single charge holds for about 4 weeks). Setting all that aside, though, the best feature is the string auto-feed - no need to adjust the string by hand. I've done research, and saw folks complaining about this feature not working on other trimmers. Rest assured - this one really works. Do yourself a favor, and get this inexpensive item. You'll love it.

I have to say, when I opened the box and took this out, the first thing I thought was 'boy is this cheap!'. I have an older model weed eater that is big, heavy, with a strap that I have been using for the past 4 years. When I saw this one which is small, weighs next to nothing, no strap..I thought well, I just wasted my money! So, I put it together, charged the battery and thought, ok give it a try. Well! was I surprised! this little thing has some power to it! I take back everything I thought when I opened the box! one drawback..they did not align the hole for the screw to attach the plate so it's off center and you do get splashed with little particals.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by sunny This is the best string trimmer I have ever owned!
This is a great trimmer! I love the battery pack. It seems to last quite a long time and is easy to remove to recharge it. The release button to remove the battery does not require lots of force. I can release the battery with the strength of one hand instead of two like other trimmers I have owned. This is very important to me.
The spool is a hard to remove the first few times that I needed to put in new string. I couldn't squeeze the release buttons on the cap hard enough to get it off because I have small hands. Husband had to help. After a few times, it is getting easier to remove... but it would be nice if it had some easier release button to get the cap off the string spool. At first, the price seemed a little high compared to electric string trimmers, but it is totally worth it when you start using the trimmer and do not have to drag out extension cords and pull them around as you work. Using the Weed Eater actually seems more like play than like work! I definitely will buy this product again, IF I live long enough to need a new trimmer!

First off this does not have the power of a gas trimmer, but I have owned a number of cordless trimmers and this is by far the best yet. If you trim your yard every time you cut the grass this will work fine, but if you let weeks or grass get to tall this trimmer will work but the battery life will suffer. It takes me about 20 minutes to trim my front yard and when I'm done, I still have 1/2 to 3/4 battery life.
