Rated 3 out of 5Â by Patty What a PAIN!
We chose this playset initially because of its size. We have a pretty small backyard and we wanted something that wouldn't take up the whole space.
This was a pain from the start. The 6 green posts that you start with didn't have the holes drilled correctly. There is a hard green plastic covering over the posts and the holes drilled into the posts didn't match up to the holes drilled into the plastic covering. So right away we had to drill holes through the hard green plastic to match up to where the holes actually were in the posts.
As we went along, we found out we were missing LOTS of parts. The first time we came across a missing part we just figured it was a fluke, so my husband went to the hardware store and just bought a piece of wood since it was a fairly easy piece of wood to replace. Later that day we came across more missing pieces. We were supposed to get 27 slats of wood for the floorboards, but we only got 17. TEN entire slats were missing! We called the 1-800 # but they were closed for the day, so we called the next day. It was easy to order the parts and we got them on Friday (we called on Monday).
The next day as we were working on it some more we found MORE missing parts. We called them again (now it was Tuesday when we called for these parts). We assumed we'd get these parts on Saturday, since we called on Monday for the other parts and got them on Friday, so it would make sense that if we called on Tuesday we'd get the other parts on Saturday. Nothing on Saturday. Or Monday. Or Tuesday. Or Wednesday. Finally on Thursday (one week plus two days after calling them) we called them back and asked when we should expect the parts. They told us they haven't even been shipped yet!! At this point it has been nearly 2 weeks since we started building this playset, but we continually have to wait for parts! They said they'd try to get it out in the next few days.
In the meantime, we were able to work on other parts. We had to go to the hardware store 3 different times just for missing screws or bolts. They didn't give us enough 2" wood screws or enough bolts. We probably spent $10-$15 total on additional hardware.
When it came time to attach the slide, there were NO instructions or hardware for it at all. We ended up using extra bolts from other parts. When we lined up the slide where it would best work on the landing, the pre-drilled holes on the slide matched up with the spaces in the floorboards on the landing. Basically, if we would have used the pre-drilled holes on the slide, we would have drilled them into spaces between the wood slats. So yet again we had to drill additional holes in the slide so it would actually be drilled into the wood.
All-in-all, it took us 3 weeks to get it built, most of that time was spent waiting on missing parts to get sent to us. I assume it would have taken us two full days to build it if we would have had all the parts from the start. A lot of time was wasted drilling holes that were supposed to be pre-drilled and didn't match up.
When it's all said and done, it does look nice and it seems durable and our kids like it. We would recommend it if you can get past the frustration of putting it together.

Instructions are poor, went on websight and found correct directions. holes do not line up,especially on plastic covering posts. screw in ancors are useless" poored concrete pad". I am NOT a novice by any means. I am not impressed. especially when I saw a much, much nicer product for the same price.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by AKZD Great End Product
Having read the other reviews, we knew what we getting into before we purchased this product. We knew there was a good chance that the alignment would be off and there may be some assembly headaches. All true...We are still waiting for a few missing boards and a replacement rock wall. The one they sent was not the same stained wood and; therefore, did not match the structure. We will see if this all comes together soon! In the meantime, Home Depot sent us a gift card for 10% of the value of the structure for the inconveniences.
All in all, our boys love their new play area. We had a tight space and this unit fits perfectly. It also looks great. My overall rating is a three because of the hassles we encountered.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Outdoorfamily Exactly what I was looking for!
This product was exactly what I was looking for. I didn't need a swing arm because we have a tree swing. My daughter loves the tower because it makes a nice house. We were able to easily add flower boxes and personalize it.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by wing1319 Very good product for limited space applications
Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with with this product. The installation was pretty straightforward and went pretty smoothly. The instructions were better than I expected. From a construction standpoint, one of the high points was how well everything was labelled. All of the wood pieces were stamped with a part number. Every piece of hardware was in labelled bags. All parts were well described in the manual also.
The wood itself is very lightweight. I was a little concerned about this, but it held my weight (190 lbs) just fine. There were no missing parts and you get plenty of hardware.
I recommend that you start the construction on a level surface (driveway, patio etc.) and carry it to its destination after you complete a few of the building steps (it still will be plenty light enough at this point for two people to carry). It's difficult to keep the posts and box beams level, plumb, square to each other otherwise.
The only downside to this product (and the reason it didn't get 5 stars) are the post sleeves. While it's a very good idea to wrap the wood posts in a plastic sleeve for durability and appearance, the execution was poor. The posts and sleeves are predrilled for hardware. But sometime after drilling, the sleeves expand and contract over the posts thereby misaligning the predrilled holes. I had to hunt for them with an awl and redrill them. Perhaps a removable peg in one of the holes would keep everything aligned during storage and shipping.
Another recommendation is that you use a cordless impact driver to assemble this. If you have to use a screwdriver and a socket set, it will take you forever. So, after all is said and done, I would recommend this product because its two biggest critics, my two boys, love it.
