I just installed this light on my back deck and am very happy with the product. The light is rated to ~240 lumens/5.6 watts, which is supposed to be equivalent to a 25W bulb; however, in service it appears to be much brighter. The glass shade is clear rather than opaque like many similar lights, and it seems functionally similar to a standard 60W fixture. The color of the light is a fairly crisp white, but not painfully blue like many LEDs -- it still feels like an incandescent light. One quirk is that the shed light has a dappled quality due to the glass shade -- not unpleasant or annoying, just an observation. The light appears to be well constructed, and installation was as simple as possible. The one question I still have is how long will the LED's last and what happens when they fail? The LEDs appear to be permanently fixed to the circuit board and do not appear to be replaceable. The box claims 35000 hours, which is 15 years of 6 hours per night, so I guess that shouldn't be a problem for a while.

While I love the look of this light, there is a major design flaw by not having screws to hold the glass cover. I installed two of these on either side of my garage, followed the instructions to secure the globe (the included instructions are not the same as the pdf on this site) and when I closed the garage door the globes fell off and broke. The vibration of the door was too much to hold on the globes. If you never have to change the bulbs, why isn't the globe secured by screws?

Rated 5 out of 5Â by liny perfect porch light
after looking at several lights in my price range, I spotted this one. Perfect size, very chic & modern, and just the right size and price for my porch. Will probably get another one for the other side.

A professional installed this by my front door. It was a subzero night and the next day the globe was cracked. After a week or so the globe fell off and shattered.

There is nothing but friction holding the globe in place. I installed them on either side of the garage door and just the temp change let one pop out and shatter. Usr some silicone to glue them in place.
