Coming from a Toro this is a treat. I was looking into another Toro but after reading the reviews I decided to try a Honda and I am glad I did. I have owned it for a year now with zero issues. Its expensive but you get what you pay for.

Works as advertised. Expensive but worth it! It is very well balanced, I have a small lawn with a lot of obstacles, turning is very easy to get around things. I debated between the Smart Drive and the Hydrostatic. I chose the smart drive and happy I did due to stopping and starting a lot, Smart drive lever is very easy to use, compared to lifting the bar every time on the hydrostatic. At 54 last mower I think I'll ever have. Great mower! Wish I could of afforded it 30 years ago!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Mikey370 My new favorite mower!!
This was only my first time using the mower but it worked very well! It made the steep hill in my back yard effortless with the rear drive system. It functioned much nicer than my friends Toro that was only a year or two old, cut better and you could tell the quality was a night and day difference. I loved that the grass pieces could be mulched or bagged, or a combination of both AND they were cut into much smaller pieces, making cleanup....or bagging much easier since you could fit more into the same size bag. The quality of the cut was also excellent, it looks a lot nicer than some of my neighbors using non Honda products as well. Let's also not forget that it moves quick so cutting time is down some also which is a big advantage, even on my 1/4 acre yard. I love this thing!

My first Honda is 13 yrs. old. Puff of smoke on first start of the season, but starts with-in three pulls after sitting all winter. Going to hand down to my daughter. This new mower is even better. If this one lasts like the last one, it will be my last mower. I'm 62 now and have grandsons that will take over (LOL) (hopefully). As with all things, you get what you pay for. After assembly (put oil and gas in it), it started the first very EASY pull. Amazing. My mother could start this. I let it run for about 2 mins. Since it was raining, I didn't mow, but started it again about an hour later to show it off to my neighbor. It has set for two days, finally stopped raining. I tried the key, not expecting anything, but it started right up. So much for an hour mowing time to charge the battery. MAYBE a total of five minutes? Can't wait unit the grass needs mowing again. LOL.
