I really like this microwave. It has just enough features that a busy family needs. It's easy to use, easy to clean and looks great in our kitchen. Best of all it came at a very reasonable price.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Mark Easy install and to keep clean
I installed it myself in less than an hour. Not overly complicated operating features and very easy to clean. I wanted a solid appliance with all the necessary features and not a lot of unnecessary bells and whistles and that's what I got. Easy to use and keep clean.

This was a new microwave without the box, with minor cosmetic damage but well worth the price. Ascetically it's very appealing.Though it's not a higher end microwave it gets simple everyday microwave task accomplished.Witch is what I was looking for. The operation panel shows smudges. Some of the settings offered may take some getting use to. I also found the user manual a bit lacking on operating instructions. It reheats leftovers rather quickly. It also offers various popcorn setting for different size bags. The light supplies sufficient lighting. It's located to the rear of the microwave, and doesn't cover the entire stove top. Overall if your looking for a simple straight forward microwave this would be a great buy. Note if you do purchase open box, the templates for installation are located on the box.I contacted Whirlpool about the templates, and was informed they where only offered on the box. I had a bit of a problem with the installation but managed to get it installed.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Irishrball Okay, for now.
The Whirlpool microwave looks good and performs as advertised. It is a basic 1000 watt, over-the-range oven, and the guys for Home Depot did a nice job installing. In terms of value, it has been a good deal. What I was looking for (when I did some research on microwave ovens) was a review or comment about how the product was performing five years after purchase, ten years after purchase, given normal everyday use. The local appliance repair company suggested Whirlpool, and the price from Home Depot -- including delivery, installation and removal of the old unit -- was attractive. Contact me in five years and I'll let you know if I still think the purchase was a good deal.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by AxlL Good Product for the Price
Overall, I think this microwave is a good product. It doesn't have a lot of the bells a whistles the more expensive microwaves have but it does a great job heating up food and the stainless steel looks great in any modern kitchen. I really like the fact that it has a turntable and the "add 30 second" button is a nice feature as well. The installation is well worth the price as it took the installers only 20 minutes to put it in over the oven. The downside of the product is it doesn't come with a rack but I don't remember using the rack in my previous microwave. It looks like you can add the rack holders later as the holes to put them in are there. The Whirlpool service rep told me that I can't but I still don't believe her and will try to go to the store and buy them myself. It doesn't have the quick 1 minute, 2 minute, etc. buttons but I don't find that to be a bother either as you just have to hit a couple of extra buttons. Overall, this is a good microwave and I would recommend it.
