PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The Giant XXL Amaryllis is the perfect holiday gift. It’s large, lily shaped flowers and brightly colored decorative metal container make for an excellent centerpiece. These bulbous plants appeal to many with their tropical exotic look, and are easy to grow and enjoy year-round with proper care. Our bulbs are pre-forced and shipped live so that you, the consumer, may have many hours of enjoyment watching them grow and bloom. Most amaryllis bulbs are between 2 in. - 5 in. in diameter and produce two to seven long-lasting evergreen or deciduous leaves that typically grow between 12 in. - 36 in. long and 1.5 in. to 2 in. wide. The flower stem is erect, 12 in. - 30 in. tall, 1 in. - 2 in. in diameter and is hollow. Depending on the species, the bulb can bear anywhere from two to fifteen large flowers, each of which is 4 in. - 9 in. across with six brightly colored petals (three outer sepals and three inner petals) that may be similar in appearance or very different. While northern areas of the country will enjoy the amaryllis as an indoor plant, much of the southern regions are able to re-plant the bulbs outdoors to enjoy for years to come.
