We replaced 10 of our old incandescent can lights with these bulbs. I'd hesitated installing CFLs because dimmable ones don't perform horribly well. They're just as bright, but be warned that they are slightly shorter than the PAR20 bulbs they replaced. That combined with the deep can lights makes the light slightly more directional, but it's not so bad you'd outright notice.
I've gone from 750 combined watts down to 80. 11% of the electricity for just about the same amount of light.
They dim, they don't buzz, they don't flicker, and they run cool. Totally love these things. I'm even keeping the old bulbs I replaced so I can take these things with me when I move (I'm a renter).

Rated 1 out of 5Â by qaz111111 Oops, Did not last a year
Sorry, this is like getting a flat tire on a Michelin with no reason. The light failed completely less than a year old. It is used primarily on half bright and left on during the night. It showed no warning signs, no flickering, nothing. It simply stopped working. It is interesting now to look and see only a part number and not even the manufacturer's name. I am a huge fan of LED bulbs and this is a real surprise. I suspect it has everything to do with the dimmer in use (not the dimmer itself) despite the fact that dimming is supported by this light. Funny thing. Even though the bulb is not lighting the base is definitely warm so it is still drawing power.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by BobC Smaller, LED flood bulb.
EcoSmart PAR20 LED, Spot style light. (SKU 182284) from Home Depot.
Initial impressions, The bulb is some what heaver as compared to similar incandescent bulbs. It weighs ~ 4.45 oz, is 2.5â in diameter, and 3.5â long. The back portion of the âbell housingâ is an aluminum heat sink for the LEDs and internal power supply circuits. The general construction quality looks well made. I measured the power consumed, and the power factor of the bulb. It consumed ~10 watts, and exhibited a power factor of 0.94. I did not have a way to measure the light output other than a subjective comparison to a bulb of similar size and construction. The light output of these units is quite good, in fact they produced a lot more light than my comparison bulb. The bulb is rated for a color temp of 3000K, or a warm white, very comparable to a incandescent 60 watt bulb.
The bulb size is a good fit for smaller lighting fixtures. I install one in a flexible arm desk lamp and it provided as much, or more light than the bulb I had been using. When turned on, they produce full output, unlike CFLs that only produce a low level at turn-on and have to warm up to reach full output. The vendor says they can be used with dimmers. I do not have dimmer switches, so I did not run them with a dimmer. I did not measure the bulb temperature in operation. The fixture that they are used in can effect their operating temperature. I have not noted any temperature problems is my use of them.
I have read that some model LED bulbs can cause RFI interference with home electronics. So far I have not noted any. I have wireless phones and a wireless network installed, have not noted any problems since installing this bulb. They should provide several years of use, and far lower power consumption (~80% less power). As to reliability, time will tell. I would expect them to be equal to or better than similar CFL bulbs. I have several Ecosmart LED bulbs in use now, and overall I have been very pleased with all of them
For applications where the bulb would be hard to access or change, and reliability are prime concerns this should be a good device.

Ecosmart Flood Light Bulbs have LED Technology and are equivalent to a 50 watt bulb but are brighter than Halogen. I really like the small compact design and look of the bulb. No large bulbs hanging out of the flood light plus the light is brighter, covering more area. It is also suitable for wet locations and with all the rain we have had, this is perfect. Saves on energy while lighting up the yard for safety. I only received one bulb for review but plan on replacing all our floodlight bulbs after reviewing everything this product has to offer.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Termie Great product - improvement on prior generation
I've used a number of the PAR 20 LED bulbs on the market, and this one is a winner. Compared to the previous generation EcoSmart bulb, it casts a wider beam, making it much more effective at illuminating an area, and also making it reasonable to use where only a single bulb is mounted. The color of the light is similar to the old version, and is just slightly blue, as are all 3000K bulbs. It's not quite as pleasant a light as that from a 2700K PAR 20 I have from another manufacturer, but it's much brighter, despite a similar wattage rating.
Of note, this model has a narrower body than the older version, making it usable in clip-on can lighting fixtures, whereas the older version could not fit in the fixture I have.
Overall, if you're willing to invest in your lighting, this is a good choice. For living areas, I'd still recommend a 2700K bulb, however.
