Product works great. Installed for the benefit of my wife. All parts of good quality...even mounting bolts. Bar raises and lowers effortlessly...(not a complete freefall yet also not a large amount of friction either), anchor clips are simple in design yet effective in function, and although having the option to raise or lower the bar comes at a significant upgrade to cost, in my opinion this is money well spent: With the bars up the space is more accessible in regards to function, and less institutional in appearance. The mounting holes are not made for a common, behind the wall, anchor structure,(4 3/4" L to R on center, 10 1/2" top to bottom on center),so the purchaser should be aware that structural needs should be addressed accordingly. Install was as easy as can be for a product of this type on the assumption the mounting sub structure was where it needed to be. I am only 170 pounds, but I can easily suspend my entire body weight on the bar without a hint that the product is anywhere near a point of stress failure.

This product was great around my handicaps father's toilet, but the mounting holes are 4" apart(studs in a wall are 16") making it hard to attach to a regular wall.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Robert product did not fit in the space we had
unfortunately the grab bar was too large for the space we had around the toilet. Product looked/felt great/substantial and would have been beneficial.

This product was easy to install because it was placed in a location that had a similar unit. The Plate and holes lined up perfectly with the existing mounting location. For a stable mount it may be necessary to mount a separate board to the wall because the distance between mounting holes do not match the 1-1/2" width of a standard 2 x 4.
