If you, (or a guest in your home), presses on the spout instead of the main shaft the leverage will pull the screws holding the pump body through the plastic pump head and break loose. The pump becomes inoperable. Best yet - Delta faucet will not cover the warranty because "Some one used it improperly".
In reality - "Some one designed it improperly"
Unhappy with Delta Faucet.

The pump head broke off after just 6 months. And when it was installed it barely pumped soap. so i would thin the dish soap with water just so my 70 year old mother didn't sprain her wrist trying to get some soap on her hands. My metal dispenser lasted over five years. This delta dispenser came with the faucet I bought for my remodeled kitchen which parts of the faucet are plastic too. I"m wondering how long the rest of my faucet is going to last.

Easy to install. It feels like it may be made out of plastic but it's holding up against a family of 5. Squirts well, and doesn't leak or clog up.

Used the dispenser on a daily basis to hand-wash dishes... Was working very well until the top broke off from the pump stem. The whole thing is plastic with a brushed nickel finish/appearance. I suppose it is difficult to find quality products at this price range. Bought this one to complement the Delta Touch faucet but the faucet, which I thought was going to break easily because of the electronic components, is working better and lasting longer than the dispenser. i guess unless I shell out $100+ for a top high-end dispenser (have one in the powder room, which is solid stainless steel) )I would have to change it every couple of years.

I did not install. It was a replacement when I replaced the faucet.
