CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 36 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Expensive, but nice and bright! At last! An LED that is bright enough to use in my old overhead lamps. My house is old, though, and I wasn't sure if the thing would even *fit* in the fixture. If you've got a tight fit between socket and cover, you're going to need a different bulb. A lot heavier than incandescent bulbs, too. January 16, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great bulb This is the bulb i was looking for. Nice and bright. Plenty of light flowing down for reading. I am using this bulb in a table lamp with a dimmer on the lamp. Works well with the dimmer. I can dim to about 25 to 30 watt output, not bad. It is a pricey bulb though. I was using a 3 way CFL before, i think this bulb is a little smaller then that. I could not find the dimmer switch at Home Depoit. Found the one i wanted on line. October 15, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice bright bulb Good: If you are looking for a 100 Watt replacement in LEDs then this is it. Very bright. Soft white. Dims nicely. Not so good: A bit heavy. A bit larger size is less of an issue though unless you are putting in tight spots. The bulb really gets hot. The main body is metal heat sink. After an hour or so, it is too hot even to touch without hurting fingers. The phosphor lenses are non metallic so that is the only part which does not get hot. Philips quality shows throughout. If you are very sensitive to hum, this is not absolutely silent but you have to put your ear to it in absolute quiet to hear it. Really no comparison to CFLs and previous generation and other LEDs. These are still pricey. If you have an option/choice of using two 60 watt equivalent Philips LED bulbs, then that is still a better way to go to get the 1600+ lumens of brightness. November 14, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by great overall light I have been using these lights for awhile now here at work and at home and have not had a problem at all. Have seen where some people have had problems dimming them, from what I have found it has nothing to do with the light but with the device that you are diming them with like the switch try changing the dimmer and problem should go away. I have put these into a building that the lights stay on for 24 hours a day 7 days a week and over a year has gone by and not one has burned out yet. They may be more then normall bulbs but in the long run they will pay for themselves within two years and you have 20 years of savings December 26, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Low energy consuming LED bulb I changed out all the lamps in my house with CFLs when we moved into it, oh, 15 years ago. My wife complained that the kitchen was not bright enough to see well. I had purchaced one of these lamps a few weeks ago, and was impressed with their brightness and soft white light. A pair in the kitchen fixture gave us 200 W equivalent light for only 38 W of power. Plus these LEDs are supposed to last for (almost) forever. We are both pleased with the light to see by in the kitchen. Now my cooking looks as bad as it tastes. Good thing my wife is such good help. Otherwise I'd starve. Get these lamps so you can see how bad your cooking is too. July 8, 2014
