I am thinking about using this product as a design feature for some shelving units combined with LED lighting features. The size of the units will be smaller than the individual panels. Given the texture of the panels, will I be able to cut them down and have the cut edges straight and/or square?

Answer:
Not particularly, I used a circular saw and some of the tiles ended up with rough edges. I tried to put joint compound to get them as smooth as possible.
