What types of fence material can be installed?
Whether you're looking for a strong wood fence, low maintenance vinyl fencing, a composite fence, or metal and aluminum is your preferred material, The Home Depot's trusted, licensed, and insured installers can build the fence you've always desired.
What are some common reasons for building a fence?
By working with custom design options and professional fence contractors, you can accomplish many different uses and styles for fencing around your home. Privacy fences are great for making your backyard feel like an extension of your home's interior. Possible with composite, wood, or vinyl, a privacy fence is a common installation choice. Security fences and their panels add to the privacy by keeping unwanted animals and trespassers out, all in beautiful style. If decor is your main concern, there are countless striking decorative fencing materials, styles, and colors that provide beauty and safety together. Whether you choose steel or aluminum, vinyl or composite, the exterior of your home and its curb appeal is sure to improve. Finally, if you have a pool or garden area, an ornamental or wood fence can be a great visual addition and provide protection around these outdoor spaces.
Why can't you quote a price over the phone or online?
A major factor in determining the cost of installing your fence is the lay of the land. Since slopes, undulating surfaces and flat ground all impact pricing, we'll walk your property before presenting an estimate.
What's included in the installation cost?
We will provide personalized start-to-finish project management. We’ll deliver and professionally install your fence, pull permits if necessary, clean up and dispose of job-related debris (disposal fees may apply). We will walk you through a final inspection of the fence and answer any questions.
Do I need to be present during installation?
You must be present at the start of the installation process to review the project plans with the local fence installers. It is also important to be present at the completion of the project so that you may complete the quality review checklist and review the maintenance requirements of your newly-installed fence.
The Home Depot strives to provide the best fence installation experience possible. Our contractors are handpicked and meet the highest standards of experience, knowledge and customer service. Each professional is background checked before performing any installation to make sure all applicable insurance and licenses are in place.
Whether you’re looking for beauty, privacy or security, The Home Depot can install the fence that’s best for your yard! Backed by at least a one-year service warranty, we offer a selection of styles, including wood fencing, vinyl fencing, and ornamental fencing, all of which can enhance your landscape.
Having a new fence installed can greatly influence your home’s curb appeal and improve the feel of your outdoor space. Whether it’s installed in the front yard, backyard, or both, a new fence is a great outdoor remodel idea for your home. You may want to get a new fence installed if:
• You’re looking to increase privacy in your backyard;
• The front yard’s curb appeal could use a facelift;
• An old fence is worn, outdated, or the material no longer serves it’s intended purpose.
Regardless of why you’re looking for a new fence, getting it installed with The Home Depot is a good investment.
Before hiring a fence installer, we recommended you hire a surveyor first to have documentation of where your land begins and ends. You can ask your local Home Depot for a recommended survey company in your area. When choosing a fence, the fence materials and yard size also influence cost. Low-maintenance materials will cost more upfront, but save you money in the future. A larger yard will take longer to install and require more materials, creating a larger installation project.
