Delays with online booking of installation
We were told that we could buy the garage door opener at the store and then book the installation separately. the person at the customer service counter was unsure if we had to purchase an addition installation kit or not and was unable to find the answer for me. I decided to book online because then when they called to book the appointment I could just ask them. The confirmation stated I would receive a call within 3 days. Seven days later I still had not heard anything so I called the phone number from my confirmation email. They said that they did not do the installations if we already purchased the opener and didn't know why their phone number was the only one in my email. I then called my local store where I purchased the owner and was directed tote mill works department. The man I talked to there told me they can only see in store bookings and not online bookings so I would have to call 1-800-homedepot. When I called that number and went through the menu I was directed to tue same company as before! The same company that said they do not do installations unless I buy the opener through them. At this point I was very frustrated and concerned because I had already paid for an installation that no one could tell me anything about. I was told that I needed to talk to the overhead installer but of course, no one answered that number. I finally talked to someone very helpful in the mill works department who said he would call the overhead installer himself the next morning and let me know what he found out. It turns out that it took 7 days for my online request to get to them and was told they would hopefully call me the next day to book my appointment but they have a 3 day window so it may not be the next day. Sure enough, they waited the full 3 days to call me and then was told someone would call me between 7-9pm that evening to book our time. I didn't get a call until almost 10pm and he said he would be there the next morning between 9-11am. No one showed up until 1:30pm and I never received a call about a delay. With the experience the way it had been going I was afraid no one was going to show up and I would be out my money that I had paid. I almost tried to get my money back so I could book through someone else but I had zero confidence that customer service could figure out how to get me my money back on that since it was booked online. The installation was fast and the opener works great but I would recommend to other people that they skip this whole process and just book with another company.

Garage Repair Services
Your garage door is the largest moving part on your home and perhaps the hardest working, being opened and closed an average of four times per day.
Visually inspect the garage door for wear and tear. Pay particular attention to springs, cables, rollers and pulleys. Do not attempt to remove, adjust or repair these parts or anything attached to them. These parts are under high tension and should only be fixed by a trained garage door professional.
