Materials:
· 3 wire connectors (these are supplied
with the timer)

| Turn Off Power |
| 1. | Turn off power at the circuit breaker or fuse. |
| 2. | Remove wallplate. |
| 3. | Use the tester to verify power is shut off. |

| Remove and Inspect Switch and Wires |
| 1. | Remove mounting screws and gently pull the switch out of the wall box. |
| 2. | Inspect the wiring for loose or broken wires to ensure the timer will operate as intended when powered. |
| 3. | Disconnect wires – if the wires are stabbed into the back of the switch, insert a small flat head into the slot above the wire to release. If you are having problems, simply cut the wire. |

| Prepare Wires for Connecting the New Timer |
| Remove insulation so ¾ in. of the copper conductor is showing. |

| Connect Wires to the Timer |
| 1. | Connect the ground wire from the wall to the green lead of the timer. |
| 2. | Connect the black wire from the wall to one black lead of the timer. |
| 3. | Connect the white wire from the wall to the remaining black lead of the timer. |
| 4. | Connect wires by twisting the wires together tightly. Push them firmly into the supplied wire connector, screw connector on clockwise making sure that no bare wire is showing, and secure the connector to the wire with electrical tape. |

| Place Timer in the Wall Box |
| 1. | Carefully bend the wires and push the timer into the wall box. |
| 2. | Tighten the mounting screws to secure the timer to the wall box. |

| Cover with Wall Plate |
| 1. | Install the wall plate. |
| 2. | Restore power. |
| 3. | Test the timer. |
