Installing an Evaporative Cooler

Evaporative coolers, also called swamp coolers, are well suited for climates where the air is hot and humidity is low. They cool by pulling in fresh outside air through moist pads, where it is cooled by evaporation and circulated through the house by a large blower. Installing a window-mounted unit is relatively simple.

This project guide provides the steps required to install a window-mounted unit.
