The best garage doors and professional installations…that’s the power of The Home Depot.
The key to our exceptional garage door shopping experience that sets us apart from the competition is our easy to use custom garage door configurator, which is an online tool that enables customers to build, visualize, price and purchase the door all in one session. No other retailer or dealer offers this configurator service—making it yet another Home Depot Advantage. We also line item our orders and give quotes upfront so you can be assured of accurate pricing during your new garage door ordering process.
Before starting the garage door configurator, review the questions below. The custom details will help you design and purchase the garage door that best fits your needs. If you have any questions, call our professionals at 1-800-557-5221.

You’ll love our selection of garage doors, which feature the latest styles including traditional, carriage house and contemporary. Or consider garage doors with windows, dent resistance and doors with high R-value insulation for greater thermal efficiency. The R-value measures how well certain building insulation materials can resist heat. The higher the R-value, the greater the insulation.
You can choose to install your new door yourself, or use our installation professionals. Our installs include a pre-installation site check and several options for replacing your existing garage door opener. If you purchase a new garage door installation though our F&I program, there is NO fee for reconnecting the existing opener. If you purchase a new opener at the same time as the door, there is an additional charge for installing the new opener. Except in the Northeast, both options include free haul away of the door and opener. Free haul away is also included for purchases of only a garage door opener through our F&I program.
** Installers are fully licensed where applicable

Select the right garage door and/or garage door opener for your home in either
of two ways: by viewing our selection online with our Design & Purchase Online
Tool or by talking with one of our associates at The Home Depot store nearest
you. We can help you choose among hundreds of different configurations and put
together the style and materials that work best for your garage. We offer a
wide range of options to fit your particular needs.
Whether you choose to design and build your garage door and opener online or
purchase in one of our stores, a certified and licensed installer from The
Home Depot will follow up with you by phone to schedule an on-site inspection
of your home to make sure your door will work properly in the opening. When
your door or garage door opener is ready for installation, the installer will
schedule a time that works for you to install your new garage door. You may
also call us at 1-888-480-9500 or visit The Home Depot store nearest
you to speak with one of our sales associates directly.
One of our authorized installation professionals will visit your home to
measure your garage for the correct door size and inspect it for any
conditions that may affect the installation. After the inspection, you'll
receive a proposal in writing with the total project cost for your approval.
If your order needs to be changed based on the inspection, the installer will
help you make those adjustments.
When your installation is ready to begin, an installation representative will
call you to arrange a date for the delivery and installation of your garage
door(s) and opener(s). A licensed, professional installer will deliver and
provide a quality installation, jobsite cleanup, and haul away your old doors.
Your installer will conduct a final walk-through inspection for your approval.
If you experience any problems following the walk-through, you'll have peace
of mind knowing that The Home Depot stands behind its work -- we provide
one-year warranties on all installation labor and superior warranties on all
of our garage door and opener products.
