Is your system currently working?
What is the specific problem?
How long have you experienced this problem?
When was the last time you changed your air filter?
Is your system keeping your home at a comfortable temperature?
How old is your existing system?
Is your unit gas or electric?
When was the last time your system was serviced?
Does your unit have a lengthy repair history?
Can you ensure your system is accessible at the time of the repair appointment?
Call 1-800-557-5221 for all of your heating and cooling repair needs.
• We service all brands and all models.
• We'll diagnose your system's problem. A diagnostic fee will be charged for the visit. Additional charges will apply for any repair work.
• We'll discuss and recommend options prior to making any repairs to your existing unit.
• If a replacement is required, we'll credit the diagnostic fee toward your purchase.
• We also offer numerous payment options to get your repair underway as quickly as possible.
Q: What determines if I need to replace rather than repair my unit?
A: If your unit is 7 years old or older, requires frequent repairs or stops working, fails to heat or cool areas of your home, runs excessively or constantly turns on and off, or produces high utility bills, it may be more economical to replace your existing system than try to repair it.
Q: Is there a fee for a visit?
A: Yes. You should expect to pay a diagnostic fee to cover the cost of the technician's visit to diagnose your problem and receive a quote for the repair options. You will be advised of the issue along with recommended options to correct it, which may include a system replacement if your unit is old or the repair would be significant. If you decide to replace the system, the diagnostic fee will be credited toward the replacement purchase.
Q: How can I find out if I am spending too much on heating and cooling for my home?
A: How do you know how much is too much? Start with your utility company; they can help a great deal. Comparing previous bills isn’t always a good measure, as the weather is never exactly the same month to month. Instead, if you take your energy bill and divide it by the square footage of livable space in your home -- don’t count areas like unfinished garages or basements -- you can calculate how much you are spending to heat or cool each square foot of your home. Your energy provider can tell you what the average cost per square foot is in your region for that same period of time so you can compare apples to apples. Try our HVAC Savings Calculator to see how much you can save with a higher efficiency unit.
