Start by browsing our online Exterior Door Buying Guide or Interior Door Buying Guide for ideas and inspiration on the door colors, styles and sizes that suit your needs. Once you have some options in mind, bring measurements of your existing doors to The Home Depot nearest you and speak with one of our associates, who will help you choose among our hundreds of door styles and purchase the right door(s) for your project.

Once you have selected your door(s), a Home Depot Sales Associate from The Home Depot will call you to schedule an in-home visit to verify the measurements and inspect the area where your interior or exterior door(s) will be installed. After the appointment, a Home Depot Sales Associate will follow up with you by phone with the final project price to process your payment. Note: while stock doors are usually available immediately, special order doors can take between two and six weeks to arrive.

When your doors are available for installation, you will be contacted by our licensed installer to schedule a convenient time for the install to begin.

On your scheduled installation date, our door installation professionals will walk you through what to expect of the work about to be performed and answer any questions you may have. After the installation is complete, the installer will clean the job site and remove all project related debris.

After your doors are installed, your installer will walk you through a final inspection of the installation and explain how to care properly for your new doors. The installer also will explain any maintenance needed and warranties, and haul away any old doors or door frames if you wish (additional fees may apply for disposal).
