These hollow wall anchors, or molly bolts, are medium duty fasteners used primarily in drywall. Once the body of the anchor is installed fully, the mating screw can be removed and items can be changed without disrupting the anchor. Hollow wall anchors with pointed ends can pierce drywall using just a hammer whereas ones with blunt ends require a pre-drilled hole. Standard screwdriver is required for installation. Zinc plating offers some corrosion resistance.
