Wine Mate cooling units are top of the line, and are NOT imported. The wine racks are made with wood which is then interlocked with the aluminum to create a sturdy rack. We have upgraded your unit to 3-3/4 in. racking so that more of the new wines can fit in your cellar. You will lose bottle capacity, but your bottles will fit more easily in the racks.
